About Sedona Artist and Jewelry Designer, DJ Poye

Visionary designer DJ Poye is a graduate Jeweler/Gemologist from Paris College. Her studies included Fabrication of Metal, Lost Wax Casting, Stone Setting, Jewelry Design, and Gemology. After completing college, DJ studied gemology with world renowned Orlando S. Paddock and attended design courses facilitated by 1975 “Diamond International Award” winner Martha Ann Gilchrist. Soon after school, DJ worked with Martha Ann on commissioned pieces in Dallas, Texas. In the past thirty years, DJ has owned four different jewelry studios, each supporting her growth as a designer. Her unique design collections are pleasing to one’s eye and enlightening to the soul.

Form, purity, and essence are the qualities she looks for in her materials. All of DJ’s jewelry designs are made with the highest grade gems and metals derived from the natural sources of the earth. Each design process incorporates precious gemstones and metals that are molten and manipulated together, unifying a fluid bond of magic. “Where Vision Is Art” is DJ’s passion for jewelry design and is a continued expression of the  harmony, peace, and love she holds in her heart. Her creations renew and nurture the soul.
